Hair Cycle

Hair Cycle

There are 3 major growth stages: Anagen, Catagen, and Telogen

Anagen: is the active growth phase of the hair follicles.
Catagen: is the transition period between growth and rest. Hair continues to grow at a decreasing rate.
Telogen: is the resting phase of the hair follicle. Over a period of time, the current hair is shed and no new growth takes place.
